Thank you for posting the
wonderful Zama Guide book and please thank Millard Greer for the original.
My Dad will turn 90 later this
week (late 2010.) I am making a video for his party. Earlier this week, I
sent him the picture, inscription and question below it. The handwritten
note and diagram were on the back of the picture. I had no idea what it
was, or even if it might not be my Uncle’s HQ in Germany in WWII or
something else.
As I scrolled down to the
first page of the Guide book website and looked over to the right, there
it was. The same unmistakable shape. The AFFE Headquarters building!

this. I have a some photos from our stay there, roughly ’54-’56, including
our own “portable housing,” our “boys day” flags, etc. I’ll send
