The words to the Yo-Hi fight song were originally as shown below. The above is a gender-neutral politically correct version modified sometime after the 1960's:

Oh, We're the kids from Yo-Hi, our boys will fight,

We've got the best team, here's to the red and white,

the red and white forever

We'll stand out forever, finest in the land

We've got the best team in all Japan!

If you could hear the tune you'd know the words in the first phrase of the third line of the top version are awkward--a syllable too long--the version above fits perfectly. The refrain on the third line above is a tag that the tune calls for. I don't know what the tune is called, but it's a fairly familiar high school fight song tune. Perhaps some day we will be able to play the tune here.
