GARDENA, CA |
| A 'MINI REUNION' was held Saturday 8 Apr 2006 at a Japanese restaurant
called Yakitori Shinsengumi. We had 8 Yohians (classes of 69-72) and a couple of spouses join us. It was real fun. We tried a bunch of menu items, ran up a $265 bill, donned some red devil items for the photos, and Jenny Harada Allen '72 brought some Japanese folk toys for everyone. The mini was organized by Jenny Harada Allen '72 and Ken Kondo '72 although Ken missed the event as he had business guests from Japan. The group particularly liked the chicken skin, enoki mushrooms wrapped in bacon, shrimp, beef tripe, beef tongue, flap meat, baked rice balls, and liver yakitori. Not quite as popular were the chicken cartilidge and aspura corn. The restaurant's entire menu is on-line at http://www.shinsengumiusa.com/G_yakitori/index.php. |
