Thank you so much!
My
name is Sasha Anguiano and I am the student council president for the
school year 2018-2019. I moved to Yokosuka in third grade and attended
Ikego Elementary, Sullivan’s Elementary, Yokosuka Middle School and
Kinnick High School. I will be attending Florida Institute of Technology
where I will be completing a 4-year accelerated master’s program in
business administration.
As
a first generation college student, the college application process was a
challenge for me and my parents. I have been accepted to and have
committed to Florida Institute of Technology and they did give me $23,000,
but that still leaves roughly $33,000 left for my family to come up with.
This scholarship will decrease the total amount left and it will relieve
some of the financial burden the cost will place on my family. My plan for
the future is to receive my undergraduate degree and to go to graduate
school for business. I would like to come back to Japan as a businesswoman
and I would like to give back to my family for supporting me through the
process
